I am spontaneous and adventurous. I think life is to be lived, passionately. I tend to work hard, get the job done, and then play hard. I absolutely stop to smell the flowers, and I get joy out of large and small things alike. I am a hopeless romantic, very passionate and physical, and always try to see the good in things. I am the kind of person who likes to randomly just give flowers to my sweetheart for no special reason, for example, or leave outrageous, scandalously sexy love notes in obscure places for her to find while I'm at work. I laugh a lot, including at myself, and am a very happy person. I have been described by friends as "high-energy". I have traveled a lot -- Russia, Europe, Guam, Brazil, Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, most of the Continental US -- and like to see how others live and work. I enjoy learning, and have had several jobs -- research physicist, professional pilot, deep sea diver, computer engineer, Pentagon consultant, Congressional candidate, published author [books and magazines], and senior manager of several companies, I am also disgustingly healthy. I like vacations, skiing, hiking, exploring, swimming, surfing, going to movies, lying on my back looking at clouds, and flying [when I have the chance]. I used to skydive, but it's hard with kids -- they'd have to stay on the ground. I really like to do wildly romantic things with a sweetheart, like passionate encounters in the mountains, by a waterfall, over lunch break, etc. But I also think that life itself is a wildly romantic experience, and I consider that shopping for garden supplies with a sweetheart can be just as romantic a date as going out to dinner [although going out to dinner is FUN]. I also like doing family stuff, and really enjoy doing things with kids when there are some around, such as my own [I have them about 1/2 time]. I coach AYSO soccer and help out with cub scouts and boy scouts, and am very popular with the 6- thru 12-year old set, because I'm basically a big kid. My most fun vacation was Hawaii, camping out
