I'm rather reluctant to do this but realize that meeting someone the old fashioned way is about as difficult as nailing jello to a tree. The basics: I'm a native Kansan, emotionally and mentally stable (most of the time), attractive (brown hair and eyes) and I have a pretty good sense of humor. At 41, I have no divorces on my resume which translates to "I've never been married". Gasp! And no, I'm not 1) gay 2) dysfunctional or 3) too ugly to go out in public. I'm honest (almost to a fault), compassionate, down to earth and can be hopelessly romantic at times. I love animals and enjoy watching most sports (water ballet, lacrosse and squash are not on the list) and can also appreciate culture. It would be nice to meet someone who is a professional, has a finely honed sense of humor, still likes Rocky and Bullwinkle, not afraid of the C word, thoughtful, intelligent (can use multi-syllabic words), attractive and sets high standards for herself and others. But the most important requisite of all: a grown up who realizes that while the feeling of fireworks and the Fourth of July is wonderful, in the long run, it's not the glue that holds a relationship together.
