Mine include activities both indoors and out. I like a broad variety of things to do. I enjoy walking, love big cities (for that reason), but I love hiking the redwoods or the Cypress forests too. I canoe, do you? I've been a sailor since I was seven. I don't own, prefer to charter, more fun, less work. (sounds like a slogan). I love ethnic restaurants and look for them first. I've traveled a bit and have visited a few interesting (Beirut, Tripoli, Seville) fun (Athens, Cancun, St. Martin/St.Maarten) places. I love to learn new things.
I am not a jock. I won't sit in front of the TV with a beer in one hand and the remote in the other. I read more than I watch TV. I even like cats. I had two kittens adopt me, when I lived in Miami.
I'm a secular man. I oppose the religious right not because they are wrong, but because I would oppose any self righteous hypocrite who insists on enslaving me, or making my life style conform to their beliefs. I believe in freedom and responsibility for one's actions.
I love to cook, especially ethnic stuff. I learned a few Chinese, Spanish, Middle Eastern, Mexican dishes during my travels. And from my mom, I learned Italian and how to make the best marinara you ever ate. Good music is essential. I was a DJ, on the radio for a few years, my last radio job, was hosting the Saturday Afternoon Operas on Miami's classical FM Station. But I like Steely Dan, Oscar Peterson and Elton John just as well, just at different times. Reggae and Country: a little goes a long way.
My BA is in English and I'm now working as a technical writer. I love it because there is no stress and the money is good.
