I'm fun-loving though introspective, balanced in head and heart, even-tempered, consistent, highly monogamous man of his word. I'm a DWM, 49, 5'9", dark blond full head of hair, blue-eyed; don't drink or smoke. I'm very tactile and enjoy touching and being touched, holding and being held. People constantly approach me to tell me things that, sometimes, they've told no one else. I'm open, non-judgemental, caring, and a good listener. Have always wanted to be a teacher. I'm a college Math instructor with Counseling background, specializing in Math anxiety reduction. I've taught off and on since 1970. On the side I compose/arrange for the college jazz band. I also do software development, as I'm an Authorized Developer for Macromedia Director. I'd love to write musical scores for movies or musicals. Have no children, so I view teaching as a displaced parenthood and refer to my students as 'my children.' In 1991-92 I was named both Employee of the Year and Innovator of the Year at the college. Played 8 instruments. Currently do music composition, arranging, and recording (in my own studio) as a hobby. I have several pieces copyrighted. Born and raised Catholic, including 12 years parochial school. For B.S., majored in Math, minored in Music at Eastern Michigan U.; M.A. in Counseling at Oakland U.; near Ph.D. in Instructional Design at Arizona State U. Living alone since 1993, I do my own cooking, cleaning, washing, ironing, driving, etc. even though I ride a wheelchair. The 12-year marriage was annulled in 1994.
