I enjoy outdoor activities (walking/hiking, boat, ocean, scuba, fishing, biking, kayak) and enjoying nature in this great area in which we live. More sedentary pursuits include cooking and enjoying great food (and good restaurants), reading, art, road trips to small towns and exploring, travel in moderation. My greatest asset is my group of incredible friends, all of who are different, successful, and interesting. The ideal lady for me is my “best friend” with whom I can share activities, from whom I can learn, and who I can show what I have learned. The ability to go from the beach or boat in the afternoon to a black tie dinner at night and the ability to appreciate people from all walks of life is very much desired. Optimism, happiness, a zest for life, and a desire to learn and experience new things makes a relationship, and life, more fun and interesting. I am straightforward and direct with no hidden agendas; this sometimes makes people uncomfortable as they are more used to pretense and people trying to “get along” than to be true to their honest beliefs and character. Honesty and integrity are essential; one lie makes everything else suspect and credibility is all we have. I own my business, am successful, educated, very active, intelligent, and love to laugh, not married, no children, don’t smoke, drink (although I do not mind others drinking in moderation), and no drugs. I am 5’9” tall, just turned 54 years old, act and think 15 years younger, and relate better to people who also are surprised when they realize how many birthdays that they have enjoyed.
