| I’m in 1st. Mid evening, I walk in a smoke filled Center City coffeehouse. A date. I scan the room, and on the wall I see a painting of floating question marks. Our eyes meet. It's the woman I met over the net personals after weeks of exchanged emails, hours of IM’s. My heart goes in to 3rd. Amidst the java aroma, we sit with just our wits and defenses. Talk. Check time. All well. After a comfortable silence, she asks if I was or was ever married. “No, but almost once.” I return the question to her. Pause. Pause. Pause. Seemed like an eternity, just as the question came from my talker, I tune out searching the din of surrounding conversation, sounding like a radio between two stations. 'Yes', she said. It was yes to the former, she is married. Making eye contact with the floor, leg shaking, last sip. I take another drag from my burning friend, and just happen to look up at the painting of floating question marks…….
SWM 27 y/o ISO the same. TURN-ONS- I enjoy Ritz films, literature, conversations other than the weather and Sports scores, cheesy romantic stuff, cat-owners, manners, nice smelling perfume, creativity.
TURN-OFFS- Overly judgmental people, neurosis, ambivalence, gold-diggers (not much here yet), lack of individuality, pathological superficiality, people who drive manual transmission cars while talking on cell phones, booze, drugs, smoking OK. Will send pic, if you do.
