| I'm a grateful, recovering alcoholic and devoted father. I'm also a Masters student at MCV/VCU, and hope to soon be of maximum service to others just like me. In addition to working full-time, I'm also a mystery writer--my first book is scheduled for publication no later than January of 2002. And in my spare time (ha, ha), I LOVE going to movies--and talking about them afterwards. I also love most sports--football in particular--but fully realize they're just games. And therefore, I watch/participate when my life permits (as opposed to trying to live life only when there isn't a game on). I believe in staying physically/emotionally/spiritually fit; I also believe in "a power greater than myself," and that life is supposed to be a team sport. And I believe in being honest; it's the only way to truly live. In the past, I've always rushed into relationships--largely because I wasn't comfortable in my own skin. Today, I'm happy to say I'm no longer looking for someone from whom I can steal an identity; I'm simply looking for someone with whom I can share life's ups and downs--a partner, not a prisoner. In my experience, the greatest gifts we can give each other are time, smiles, warm hugs and hearty laughter. It's never easy taking chances, especially when hearts are involved.
