| I'm an easy-going guy looking for a fit, intelligent woman with a sense of humor to share physical and intellectual pursuits. Quick-wittedness is a plus. I'm warm and affectionate, and I like to touch, hold hands and say (and listen to ) nice things. I ballroom dance without causing snickers. My partner will enjoy nature, backpacking once in a while, bicycling, and possibly jogging. Occasionally I take a 150-350-mile bike ride, and have the urge to do some longer ones. I usually ride two-three times a week. I have very modest abilities in a dozen other sports such as tennis, bowling, golf, and the like. I like cross-country skiing, but downhill is for the more intrepid. I rarely get angry; irritated at times, yes. I am a positive thinker, and never get depressed. Down at times, but only momentarily. Life is too much fun to waste it on despondency. I enjoy good cooking, but eat healthily; steak maybe once a year. Reading is an essential part of my leisure time. In a year, I go through 75-100 books. My weekly news comes compliments of Time, Inc.; I watch very little TV, usually PBS. My two dogs are like kids, but they house in the garage. I enjoy young kids, and volunteer as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for kids who have been placed in foster homes. |
