| I don't date. Which is to say I haven't in the past. I'm certain the opportunity must have arisen at some point, but I doubt I'd have noticed. The institution of dating always seemed sort of flawed and a bit awkward and undignified. Well, anyhow, in a recent inscrutably self-righteous rant by the girlfriend of one of my regular associates she asserted (in a sub-tirade about how I know a lot, but have no first-hand experience), that she was going to find me a girlfriend. I considered the idea, and decided that, in an attempt to embrace some level of normalcy, I might as well make myself helpful in her pursuit. Which brings me pretty much to where I am now. I realize there's precious little actual self-disclosure there, but it says most of what's really relevant.
