| This precious child was brought up to the platform by her sobbing father, who was overcome with emotion as he tried to explain what the Lord had just done. Through heart-wrenching tears, he spoke gently into her ear the single word that this father had been denied..."Papa!"
For the first time her once silent lips formed the word: "Papa!" Because she had never heard the word, it was difficult to understand at first. Then as she repeated it, the word came clearer and clearer..."Papa," she cried..."Papa."
Imagine it—the man had never before heard his little girl call him "papa." The Lord opened her ears, and she was able to not only hear what her father was saying to her—but also to repeat that precious name he longed to hear his daughter say: "Papa."
It was so deeply moving. So poignant. Such a powerful demonstration of God's amazing grace. Imagine how our heavenly Father bends low in expectation of those words when we cry out to Him, "Abba, Father."
