| Who am I? I'm a shy, sensitive man who's spent too much time working and volunteering and not enough time having a personal life. I'm not a mystery man of excitement and intrigue; I'm a kind, gentle, compassionate, (despite the preceding series of adjectives associated with George Bush and son) liberal, literate, funny, honest, civic-minded person looking to expand my horizons and break down the barriers between myself and the world.
So, what else should you know about me? I took the alias "Bay Urbanist" because I'm a Bay Area native who loves the city and city life. I like living near stores and a market so I don't have to have a car. I travel when I can, camping once in a while, and I like seeing the sights and exploring around home. I enjoy the theater and movies that aren't stupid or scary (I don't get horror films; if I want to get scared I'll read about global warming). I like listening to music, but my tastes are somewhat behind the times: I enjoy folk music especially, and also early jazz, classical music, and "classic rock" (which I think means anything that can now be used for a TV commercial).
