Hello. This is the first time I’ve replied to one of these personal sites, so I’m not quite sure how to do it, but I’ll try to just give you an idea of who I am. I was born in Tulsa and have lived for long periods in Oklahoma, Texas and now Missouri. I am a US Navy veteran (no combat – we were at peace during that time) and went on 2 Mediterranean cruises with stops in Naples, Pompeii (a Roman city buried by an eruption of Mount Vesuvius), Rome, London, Portsmouth, Nice, Cannes, Catania, Palma de Majorca, Barcelona, and others. I was an air-traffic controller on the USS Independence, an aircraft carrier. I joined the Navy because I was just getting bored of hanging around in Texas. As far as education goes, I hold an Associates Degree in Nondestructive testing, but before that I attended the University of Texas at Arlington for about four or five semesters with a major in English and a minor in German. The Associate Degree led to a job at McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis in May of 1980 in a technical position. I am currently separated from my wife of 26 years and there is absolutely no chance for reconciliation. We have a brilliant, creative, funny, and compassionate 15 year old son, Travis. He lives right now with his mother, but of course I see him often. I am not a psychologically “clingy” person, nor a mama’s boy, control freak, or a freeloader. The last couple of years have been pretty rough for me. I have not had a physical relationship in some four or five years (I lost count and it was too depressing to think about) so being with a lady to talk to, and hold and kiss would be an almost overwhelming experience. I yearn for it. I certainly won’t try to hurry things or expect too much from someone that is hesitant or cautious. That only makes sense for us both.
