About Me: This past year has been pretty awesome- I graduated from grad school (after two long years), I spent an amazing week in Panama (kayaking, traveling along the countryside, relaxing on the beach, dining out, dancing), moved into an amazing apartment in NYC—who needs a sprawling apartment in the burbs when you can live in box in the city?!? I started my new career with a great company in mid-town. I can honestly say that I enjoy my 9 to 5!! This past season the USF Bulls were on fire! They had an incredible football season—their best ever! I’m almost counting down the days until the 2008 season! While we're on the topic of sports I have to say that in November I went to the Knicks vs Heat game at MSG, and my Miami Heat won!!! I had the chance to visit with my family from England—something that doesn’t happen often enough. I found a few amazing Happy Hour places—for after work socials. This past year I also got involved with the New York Road Runners. I’m definitely not ready for the 2008 Olympics, but I’m able to hold my own during the 5K events. I also saw The Color Purple 3 times—yeah, I love the show! I spent time pampering myself at a few local spas—I can’t think of a better treat. To top it off, I spent the holidays in sunny Florida bumming around with friends and relaxing on the beach! These times were great and I’m looking forward to a few more in 2008…
When people hear me speak they ofen ask me where I'm from. Wellllll, I was born in England, my parents are from the islands and I was raised in Florida. I don't really hear an accent, but I guess it's a mix of all three. When I think about my culture, I like to think that it's a mix-- that's why I appreciate and respect other cultures.
Overall, I'm pretty laid back, adventerous, ambitious, professional, fun to be around, funny, light-hearted and caring...but you should confirm all of this..lol! |
